~ JPIC Adventure! :D ~

So here I am typing away in our living room all tired. Just got back from Zambales for our RELSFOR Community Service. I would have to say that the experience was quite a blast and I had fun. :P Got to know a little more people from different courses and colleges in school. :D

It was my first time to go a far away place which I was not in the least sense familiar with. Was it scary? Well, yeah, I guess. Adventure sobra, hahaha :D Dapat 6pm of Friday kami aalis from Caloocan eh kaso hindi kami umabot so we had to go with the 8:30pm trip. Buti na lang din coz we got in the new bus. Soy and I got there at Castillejos just before midnight, I think (?) at lumampas pa kami dun sa inn. It was a good thing that the people we asked for directions did not take advantage of us. We got to the lodge safely and was able to rest.

First day at the farm...We got to meet Sir Conrad, who I've been texting all week for the directions to the place and everything, hahaha. We met our fellow students din from CLA, CBE and CCS.

The first activity was the earth walk where we had to walk barefooted. During the walk, we got to plant rice with the farmers there and took a lot of pictures of the scenic view. To think we students were just doing it to try it out and for the experience. The people there did it for a living. Saludo ako kina manong! :)

I think the process is called Corn Hilling (?) hehe. We also got to feed pigs and chickens in the farm. After cleaning up, we got back and ate lunch.

Organic and all natural food...yess! hahaha :D Sobrang kakabusog kasi kain lang kami ng kain like every two hours yata..hahaha :p bad for me though coz I was sick..huhu :(

Anyway, in the afternoon, we went to gather earthworms for the Vermiculture activity. Nakakatuwa humawak ng uod, hahaha :D Some people don't like doing those kind of things but ako, ok lang. hahaha! Kahit sila Soy tsaka yung mga CCS groupmates namin naaliw eh, haha :D Later in the afternoon, we were free to do anything we wanted so we went out to the field to take pictures and have fun. Went there with Che, Jen, Soy, and our CCS groupmates Riva, Karol, Cel, JM, Arvin and Ricco. We walked across the big field and took shots. We were supposed to climb the hill but Soy and I decided to walk back. Super layo na namin dun sa farmhouse so we walked back. The others, especially JM and Cel (nangunguna eh!), continued to hike to the hill (APO Hiking Society daw eh, hehe).

Soy and I got the chance to ride a carabao..hahaha!

No sign of them kahit sa mountains. We all got worried. Scary. Ricco was flashing lights to the horizon to serve as guide to JM and Cel. It was getting really dark and still, no sign of them. After a while, JM answered our call. Buti na lang may number ako niya kasi sila Karol wala (hehe). At about 7:30, they got back safely and REALLY tired.

That night, Soy and I became roommies with Che and Jen. Masaya kasi ang kulit nilang dalawa :D hehe. We also visited the room of our CCS groupmates and had a few laughs with them. And yes, CCS people are cool :)

Anyway, 2nd day was pretty much okay..more of making the projects and presentations. We went home after lunch, Soy, Jen, Che and I :)

Sana in the future, magkafarm ako :p hehehe.

ok, antok na ako, hahaha :p later!

~ just because..<3 ~

So much for the title. Never been good at making them. Anyhoo, it's 2:36am and I believe I deserve a break from writing FINSPEC papers (the art of cramming and laziness..*sigh* what can I say? haha!).

Before anything else, since I wasn't able to write anything yesterday for my dear sister, I'd like to take this chance (do I sense mushy-ness? haha).

Me and Katrina/Kat (I call her Chi though :p) are quite the opposite on a lot of things. I'd like to think though that we're lucky enough to be close as sisters despite our differences. For me, she is both a sister and a friend as well.

Chi's a really great person even at such a young age and I know A LOT of people would attest to that fact. She is intelligent, funny, sociable, friendly and pretty (duhh??)...but not perfect, of course, hahaha :D Although I'm not completely in support of some of the things she does (very little of them, mind you), I still love her from the bottom of my heart and will be there for her in whatever path she chooses to be.

For all the times spent, chismisan, dramahan, sigawan, iyakan, biruan, kwentuhan, BOYS (haha!)...and everything else in between...
I love you, Chi :)

Belated Happy 18th Birthday, Chi! :)

And yes, week of all weeks (for some)...it's Valentines once again. Well, it really isn't THAT big of a deal for me. Yes, I'm an official member of the SSB Club but it's fine. I am quite okay with the status for now, hahaha.

Don't get me wrong...yes, it may be nice to have someone "special" around. Someone who'd always show concern for you and ask if you're doing fine...you know, the mushy stuff (haha!). I'm not completely rejecting the idea. However, as of the moment, I don't think I'm ready for anything else just yet...hahaha :D Although as they say, "When it's there, you just know!"

Anyway, for now, I'd settle for what I have...FRIENDS :)

My guy cousins and pals are always around and I'm quite fond of listening to their stories (and rants as well)...I dunno...I mean I love my girl friends but there's a whole lot of difference when you're with guy friends...Gives me more insight, I suppose :p

Other things that have happened so far..well, today was LEAP Day. I had Basic Spanish with Soy and Amelie. It was a great learning experience and I wish I could learn more languages in the future, although according to Chi, the best time to really learn a language is only until the age of 10 (I think..).

Que lenguas hablas?

Hablo un poco Espanol, Tagalog y Ingles (hahaha!)

For now, esta contenta. :)

Oh, it's COSCA's Blood Donation Drive tomorrow. Hope a lot of people share their blood :)

~ Remembering ~

I distinctly remember that very early morning of September 1, 2007. It was 10 minutes before 4am when I arrived at school (As "ordered" by *ehem* some people, we should be there at 4am so that we won't lag behind schedule for BOS-VST). When I arrived, I thought it was safe and that no participant was there yet. A few minutes later, Peter, a batch 12 volunteer arrived. I went to 7-11 for a while to get some stuff then when I got back, I saw this guy snoozing by the then information booth at the South Gate. Later that morning when we got to talk, he introduced himself..

RJ
(sabay handshake..soo like RJ :p)
ID 106 MFI
(uy, MFI din cya :p)
Shiftee daw siya from Psych and from MFI, he wants to shift to BSA daw..
(WOW :p first time kong makarinig ng ganun, haha!)

Apart from all the small chitchat, about courses, ROTC and other stuff, he claimed that he was really that first one to arrive that morning.

Anyway, that was my first memory of RJ. Flashbacks and reruns of memories have been playing over and over this past few days, although that is already expected.

I can't say that RJ and I were really close. I can name a whole bunch of people who know more about this guy more than I do. We shared laughs at COSCA..Whenever stress was building up at the office, he'd simply say "Chill lang people, chill" just to lighten people up. There were also talks during a few late rides going home. Once, he shared his plans of not shifting to BSA (Accountancy) anymore and how he was slowly growing interested with MFI (Finance). He even shared future plans about his thesis and asked for advice on profs to take and possible career moves. Hearing him share all those things made me smile because of all the potential I saw in him and his future. *sigh*

Though we only have the great memories to look back to,
wherever RJ is now, we know he's happy and smiling
He's one heck of a great guy who will never be forgotten.

Chill. Smile. *Apir* :)
