~ waves hey to 2010 ~

Just wanted to pass by after my very looooong blogger absence. Things just started piling up somehow, not to mention I got sick a few days before my birthday AND New Year's Eve.

Can you spell L-O-S-E-R? :-P

I was especially devastated with how my New Year's celebration had turned out. Imagine me sitting on a chair with 3 pillows and a blanket, half asleep, barely breathing coz of asthma, and hearing the firecrackers sound off outside to welcome 2010. Nice eh?

(Btw, if you're wondering why I was sitting down and wasn't in bed instead, it's because every time I try to lie down, my asthma sets in on me; I start having these awful wheezes, start coughing and have trouble breathing...yey for me. :-|)

What I clearly remember when the clock struck midnight was my mom and sister kissing my cheek and greeting me a Happy New Year. Just saw my dad looking on at my pitiful state and sort of heard my brother say, "That was fun" when he entered our apartment door after watching fireworks (I assume).

I kept telling my mom, "Ma, pagod na 'ko. (Mom, I'm really tired..)." It was exhaustion from coughing too much, having shortness of breath and palpitating from the asthma meds I needed to take. My back and ass hurt so much as well with sitting down all day, the reason already noted above.

But hey...thank God I'm still alive and well now. Coz of that bad experience over the weekend, I've learned to value health all the more :) Pretty much hoping that I've sickened myself out all that I can sick out during that pitiful weekend. Crossing my fingers.

Very much looking forward to what 2010 would bring. 2009 was both a year of yeys and boos for me but I'm keeping that all behind for now and am facing the New Year with a smile on my face and a more carefree spirit.

(Reminder: 2 years till Doomsday :P We should make the remaining years count...whether or not the predictions hold true ;P )

No real concrete resolutions (knowing me, I suck at keeping them anyway :-P)... just the hope that I live life more and not just exist and go with the flow. After all, we are taken by fate only so far... We still get to decide how to make things happen.

Anyway, that's it from me for now. I'm going away for a few days and have to grab some things before I go. Wish me a great adventure :)
